Wholesale Inflation Jumps by 6% in April

Wholesale inflation ramped up by 6% annually in April, up 1.4% on a seasonally adjusted basis for the month. Fully 40% of the jump in final demand energy calculated by the producer price index (PPI) was attributed to a 15.6% uptick in gas prices (more).
