McDonald’s released a mixed report card for its second-quarter earnings, with EPS registered at $3.38 adjusted versus $3.32 expected and revenue at $7.1 billion against $7.13 billion anticipated. U.S. same-store sales slowed to a growth figure of just 0.8%, even as traffic fell. “While our playbook is working around the world, we see an opportunity to raise the bar in the U.S. and accelerate performance in our largest market,” McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski said (more).
